Sukkot #2 - How can Joy be found in Ecclesiastes?

In our final Sukkot service, Peyton leads us through the writings of Solomon in Ecclesiastes. What does it mean that all things are meaningless? I thought this was a season of Joy....so why would the tradition be to read Ecclesiastes on Sukkot? Solomon is simply telling us that all earthly things (with out God) are meaningless - Godly things bring us JOY!
